RèMOLO

100th Anniversary Exhibition (September 29, 2018–January 6, 2019): Goldstein Museum of Design, St.Paul, MN. US.

RèMOLO presents cutting edge fashion based on Kinetic-Art, which expresses the effect of movement and visual systems in the art to create the idea that an object's beauty could be the product of optical illusions or mechanical movement. The dress's shape suggests the motion of huge waves and expresses irregular and rhythmical movement through the asymmetrical neckline and skirt hemline. Moreover, spiral models created by 3D printing increase a sense of rhythm and emphasize spatial sensibility. And wearable LED lights represent the reflection of sunshine on the waves. Both technologies, the spiral models and the LED lights express the rhythm of waves and apply a three-dimensional effect within this dress to enhance the effect of Kinetic Art.
