Prologue

I have discovered that when teaching creates a positive interaction between an instructor and a student, the impact of this interaction empowers students to take an active role in their learning process. I strived to teach what students need to learn and how it will be done effectively during class time. Before I planned my lesson, I identified the class's learning objectives and enjoyed designing appropriate learning activities such as classwork, assignments, and projects. Specifying concrete objectives for student learning helped me determine the kinds of teaching and learning activities I used in class; also, those activities defined how I check whether the learning objectives have been accomplished. I focused on supporting each individual and empowering each individual creativity and capability. Thus, my teaching focuses on helping students move toward broader knowledge and understandings extending beyond textbooks by encouraging them to be self-directed and active learners.

Mood & Consumer Board

This project helps students to analyze trend data and understand target consumers for the design concept before creating their design. 

Flat Pattern

This course allows students to utilize various design resources for inspiration and design ideas, create original designs based on flat pattern techniques, and construct the final garment through fit analysis.

Draping Method

This course leads students to understand a three-dimensional human body form and develop original garments using creative ideas and apply design principles and elements to garments with appropriate markings and seam allowances.

Technical Package (SPECS)

This project provides students to understand the efficiency of 'The Tech-Pack,' called Specifications (SPECS), within the fashion industry by apparel designers to create, put together, and package a garment before the manufacturing process.
